SODIC, Egypt’s leading real estate developer, is proud to announce that Ogami, its 440-acre signature development at the North Coast, has been named “Master Plan of the Year” at the Architecture Leaders Awards 2025, hosted by Design Middle East in Dubai.
The project, designed by DLR Group, was honored for its innovative design, environmental responsibility, and social impact.
Ogami redefines North Coast living with a master plan that blends Japanese-inspired minimalism and Mediterranean charm. Anchored by the region’s exclusive Nobu Hotel, Restaurant, and Residences, the destination features elegant architecture, lush open spaces, and 800 meters of pristine beachfront.
The project’s residential neighborhoods, hospitality zones, marina, and gathering spots are seamlessly tied together through a robust open space network. With 24% of the site allocated to green areas and 5.6% dedicated to water features, the plan emphasizes ecological balance, walkability, and long-term adaptability.
Ayman Amer, SODIC’s General Manager, commented on this recognition:
“Ogami was born from a bold vision — one that brings global experiences to Egypt. From the beginning, we set out to create more than just a coastal development; we envisioned a destination that speaks the language of world-class design, seamless living, and cultural depth. Being named ‘Master Plan of the Year’ affirms that vision — and reflects our commitment to shaping places that raise the bar for what’s possible on Egypt’s North Coast.”
This recognition serves as a meaningful acknowledgment from leading industry experts, who praised Ogami for its culturally grounded yet forward-looking approach, its use of passive design strategies to reduce environmental impact, and a spatial framework that enhances quality of life, setting a new benchmark for large-scale developments in the region.
Launched in 2024, Ogami is SODIC’s largest coastal development to date, with the first phase scheduled for delivery in 2028 and full completion expected by 2029.
