Salah Hammad is an Egyptian sculptor born in Egypt in 1961. He holds a bachelor's in Fine Arts and a high diploma in the same field. He is also a member of the Plastic Artists Syndicate in Egypt. Hammad has participated in over 30 symposiums worldwide and has organized several symposiums throughout his career, including the Aswan International Sculpture Symposium in 1998, the Aswan International Symposium for Madinaty in Egypt and the Aswan International Symposium for Emirates Heights Village.
In 1993, Hammad received the government's prize for Creative Arts in Italy and in 2000 he was awarded the Carage prize from the Egyptian government.
Hammad's work revolves around abstract geometric art, merging the scientific geometric aspect with the organic human aspects of the human figure. His piece for this symposium is an abstract geometric figure moving freely.
