SODIC Sells 64% of Units Available within Hours Generating over LE 105 Million

SODIC launched yesterday The Hill at Allegria, one of Cairo’s leading high-end residential communities. The Hill, Allegria’s Phase III boasts six stunning home designs ranging from twin houses, townhouses, to smaller and larger stand-alone villas. Prices start at LE 1.25 million, payable over four years. This newest phase is built on the highest point of Allegria, with a fan-shaped design and five distinct tiers meaning most homes will enjoy fantastic, unobstructed views of Cairo, including the Giza Pyramids and the city lights at night. The Hill is part of the world-class award-winning Allegria development, renowned for its landscaping, water features, and Egypt’s first and only signature golf course designed by Greg Norman.

On Saturday 16th May 2009, SODIC sold 64% of the units on offer within hours of opening. The sales offering for The Hill generated over LE 105 million in than one day. All homes are built in a way that benefits from The Hill’s unique topography and feature totally different, innovative designs including large, open windows that create spacious, bright living spaces in addition to a very large terrace and a garden, encouraging outdoor living and entertaining. The beautifully designed homes come in a variety of sizes from 221 m2 three-bedroom townhouses, to 352 m2 five-bedroom stand-alone villas and come with essential features such as separate nanny quarters, large bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, and lots of storage space.

The Hill homes are exclusively designed by two of Egypt’s most talented, young architects, Shahira H. Fahmy and Laithy Mekawy. The award-winning Shahira H. Fahmy has designed innovative twin houses, townhouses, and stand-alone villas while Laithy Mekawy - known for his very popular multi-level homes in Allegria Phase IV that sold out in record time - has developed a dazzling twin house design on The Hill.

Earlier this year, SODIC demonstrated its skill of creating intelligent products with the customer in mind when it launched Allegria’s Phase IV, which successfully sold out very quickly. “The success of both Allegria’s Phases III & IV confirms that clients are becoming even more selective when choosing their home designs. The Hill is set to be delivered as of 2013, while construction of Allegria is solidly on schedule to be delivered as of December 2010, with all the architectural designs of the project being visibly clear. By the summer of this year The Allegria Greg Norman Signature Golf Course will be ready for teeing-off.

Shahira H. Fahmy’s designs aim to establish balance and create harmony within structures. She has taken part in milestone projects such as AUC’s new campus in New Cairo and her firm has won many awards since its founding. Most recently Shahira’s firm won the MIPIM Architectural Review Future Project Awards 2009 in the category of “Regeneration and Master Planning Category” for her work on SODIC and SOLIDERE’S WESTOWN Block 36, in Cairo, Egypt.
