Even golf courses have a seal of approval or a mark promoting their quality; in this case, a Signature from an exceptional golfer after whom the course is named, thus verifying its high standards. So it was with great pride that Allegria named its signature course – the first of its kind in Egypt – after legendary golfer Greg Norman, who spent 331 weeks as the world’s no. 1 golfer in the 1980’s and 1990’s, earning himself the nickname of “The Great White Shark”. He recently demonstrated his skill after finishing tied for third place at the 2008 British Open.

In 1987, his company, Greg Norman Golf Course Design (GNGCD) was established, becoming one of the world’s premier signature golf course design firms, and is proudly the designer of the stunning 18-hole golf course situated at the heart of Allegria.

Streams, rock features, vegetation and undulating topography are the natural elements implemented in the signature course’s design. Innovative methods are constantly sought to utilize the greatest number of trees on a site, rather than eliminate them.

In line with Allegria’s philosophy of a happy, integrated neighbourhood, the Signature golf course is designed to be a natural extension of the overall community. It blends in and is harmonious with the overall shapes, colours and intricate nuances of Allegria.
