Laithy Mekawy

After spending several years working in Istanbul gaining experience in the conversion and restoration of buildings, Laithy Mekawy began his own private practice in 2006. The Laithy team is young, dynamic and creative, and enjoys the challenges that come with intricate and diverse projects. Their work ranges from architectural design and planning to the conversion of old structures such as their work in Istanbul, Turkey; there, Laithy worked on building new residential compounds, and restoring and transforming old buildings in the capital into updated and modernized lofts. In Egypt the firm is working on a diverse number of projects ranging from a resort and shopping district on Egypt's North Coast, to residential villas in Sharm El Sheikh.
